This LIFETIME LIMITED WARRANTY is transferable by the original homeowner to one subsequent owner. A transfer fee of $50 accompanied with a copy of the original warranty, along with the new owners name needs to be sent to TRACO within 30 days from the sale of the house.

How to exercise your warranty:

If you have any questions concerning the TRACO warranty, please contact your dealer or write to TRACO at the above address enclosing a copy of this limited warranty. Any components of the products which do not conform to this warranty must be presented within the applicable warranty period, together with a copy of this limited warranty, to the dealer named on this limited warranty. If the dealer is unobtainable, ship the components, together with a copy of the warranty, to the TRACO factory at the above address, transportation charges prepaid. After repairing or replacing your component under warranty, TRACO will ship the component (or a component of equal quality) to the dealer or you at no cost to you.

What the warranty does not cover:

This warranty does not cover defects resulting from accidents, alterations, failure to follow instruction, and misuse (including failure to perform reasonable and necessary maintenance.) In addition, TRACO will not be responsible for any costs or damages with respect to the removal, installation, or re-installation of any of the components or products. This warranty does not apply to any components or products installed in ships or vehicles or outside the United States.

This warranty does not cover any uniform fading or color change due to normal weather conditions (which may vary according to geographic location) since normal weathering will cause any colored surface to gradually fade or darken.

This warranty does not cover defects to insulating glass units if the unit is not handled or installed in accordance with the TRACO instructions or is damaged in handling or installation, if stresses result from temperature differentials over the glass surface or edges or if strain is applied by movement of the building. Condensation on any window is the natural result of moisture in the house, it does not indicate a defective glass unit, windows, or installation.

TRACO WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THOSE OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND MERCHANTABILITY, FOR MORE THAN THE APPLICABLE WARRANTY PERIOD SET FORTH ABOVE WITH RESPECT TO EACH COMPONENT.

TRACO WILL NOT PAY FOR LOSS OF TIME, INCONVENIENCE, LOSS OF USE OF ANY COMPONENT OR PRODUCT, OR ANY PERSONAL INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE CAUSED BY ANY COMPONENT OR PRODUCT OR ITS FAILURE TO WORK OR ANY OTHER INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.

This warranty sets forth all of the responsibilities of TRACO regarding the components and products. Replacement of defective components at the TRACO factory is the exclusive remedy. This warranty is the only one which TRACO gives on the components and products. There are no other express or limited warranties from TRACO.

Other conditions:

This warranty will become effective only upon certification by your dealer that the installation of the products has been completed at the address listed on the reverse side.

State law rights:

Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above exclusion or limitation may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

CAUTION: Do not leave small children unattended when windows are open or unlocked; screens are easily removable from the inside and are not designed as a safety restraint.

* The lifetime coverage in this warranty is intended for the individual homeowners and does not apply to properties owned by commercial and other similar agencies.

** TRACO reserves the right to change, discontinue or alter any of its products or the parts incorporated into any of its products, at its sole discretion. If any product, part, or component originally installed in your home is not available at the time of any claim by you under this Lifetime Warranty, we reserve the right to submit another model, part, or component that in its sole discretion is of equal quality or value; or at its sole option refund the original purchase price of the defective insulated glass unit involved in the warranty service request.
